Puerto Vallarta Emergency and Important Phone Numbers Dial 060 in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico as the emergency phone number in order to contact the police (policía), fire department (bomberos) or for whatever urgent emergency you might have or witness; dial 080 from Mexican cellular phones; both of these are like dialing 911 in the United States. You can buy the Ladatel phone cards for the public Telmex phones (picture left) at almost any convenience store, pharmacy or grocery store in Puerto Vallarta; these cards cost 30, 50 or 100 pesos.
