Puerto Vallarta villa VME-8 eight/ten bedrooms Discovery Vallarta (DV) is Puerto Vallarta's oldest gay reservation service that also specializes in villa and condo vacation rentals. DV offers you some of the best values in Puerto Vallarta rentals because DV deals directly with the owners or their local management. Discovery Vallarta has a wide selection of villa vacation rentals, from nicely decorated and moderately priced two bedroom villas to incredibly luxurious eight to tweve bedroom villas that are ocean front or bay view.  Most of these villas are located in the exclusive Conchas Chinas and Alta Vista areas near the lively, gay-friendly South Side of Puerto Vallarta, which is also where most of the gay owned establishments are located. So it is a short taxi ride or walk to the gay beach, bars and night clubs, the pleasant shops, and the many fine restaurants and eateries in this wonderful area.

Rates:  Villa rates are quoted in US dollars per night. Note that prices quoted are deemed to be correct, however, prices are subject to change so please check prior to booking.  Quoted rates include all taxes, amenities and maid service but do not include the cost of food and beverages. Maid and staff tips are not included, so please be generous to the staff as I am sure that you will receive good to excellent service.

Season: Generally the winter season villa rates run November 1 to April 30 and summer season May 1 to October 31. Holiday rates are higher and always include Christmas and New Years weeks and sometimes Thanksgiving and/or Easter week.

Terms: Villa rentals are payable by cashier check or official bank money order, no credit cards, personal or business checks or Post Office money orders. In order to confirm your reservation, a 50% Non-Refundable Deposit needs to arrive within five-seven days. The final payment is generally due 60-70 days before arrival; the time varies from villa to villa. (Many villa owners now consider the initial deposit to be non-Refundable unless the villa can be re-rented for the exact same time period.) Accommodations are subject to availability until your reservation is confirmed. Most villas charge a refundable security deposit, which is held in case of damages and sent back within a week of your departure (though some deposits have to be held until the next phone bill arrives). Maid service is usually six days per week, and Sunday is almost always the one day off for the staff. If you want a written confirmation of your rental or a rental agreement, please ask, otherwise the email correspondence and confirmation are sufficient.

Security Deposit: A refundable security deposit is required on most Vallarta villa rental properties, and the amount generally varies from $500 to $1000 USD.

Trip Insurance: Trip cancellation insurance is recommended and is available through a travel agency.

Arrival Information: Please note that in the deposit instructions and confirmation letters, we ask that you send us your airline name, flight numbers and the arrival and departure times. This is for our records and so that the villa staff/manager can know when to expect you and youir group and thus be on hand to greet you. It is also helpful for me to have your permanent address as well as a home/work phone number in case I need to contact you regarding the reservation and to return the security deposit.

Tipping: Tipping of the household employees is voluntary although customary in Mexico. Tipping is always appreciated. The amount of the tip would of course depend on the service required, the length of your stay, the number of guests in your party and any special needs you might have had. To provide assistance in this matter, note that the standard tip for the staff in Puerto Vallarta villas is now considered $2-4 per day per staff member for each guest, and tips are generally given to the staff at the end of your stay. Please be kind enough to take good tipping into consideration while planning your vacation in Vallarta.

Check in - Check in time for villas is generally around 3pm and check out is 11am-noon.
