Thursday - Jueves Diana's Gay Cruise - On a 48 ft. trimaran, with snorkeling, swimming and sunbathing with Diana DeCoste as hostess. You might call this location Puerto Vallarta gay male stripper central. ----------------- Special Events and Occasions Art Walk - Old Town/Downtown 2009-2010 The Old Town Art Walk this year has fifteen participating Puerto Vallarta art galleries which host complimentary cocktail receptions and expositions on Wednesday nights from 6pm-10pm during the high season winter months starting October 28, 2009 until May 26, 2010. People wander from gallery to gallery in search of art, conversation and that near-perfect glass of wine. A good way to meet some Puerto Vallarta artists and make new friends. Galleries participating this year are Art Gallery Millan, Corsica Galeria de Arte I and II, Emociones Art Gallery, Galeria Arte Latinoamericano, Galeria Corona, Galeria des Artistes, Galeria de Ollas, Galeria Omar Alonso, Galeria Uno, Galeria Vallarta, Galeria 8 y mas, Galeria Uno, Galeria Whitlow, Pacifico Gallery, Sergio Bustamante, and The Loft Galeria. Highlights of the Festival include cooking classes, cheese seminars, Tequila Madness Night and the exceptional Gourmet Brunch at Café des Artistes  Participating restaurants include Bianco, Bogart's, De Santos, La Palapa, Porto Bello, the River Cafe and some fifteen others. Puerto Vallarta Film Festival - Dec 6-10, 2010 As an International Film Festival, the event intends to bring together filmmakers of divergent styles and subjects, but who face remarkably similar obstacles to the production and distribution of their films. At its core, the Festival hopes to create a forum where these films and filmmakers can come together and share their art, ideas and cultures. Further info on their schedule and events at the Santa Barbara theater website Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe  -  yearly, December 1-12 The celebrations of Our Lady of Guadalupe, with its colorful religious processions from December 1-12, the most public and extended religious holiday in Mexico. The local gay community usually participates on December 1, World AIDS Awareness Day. December 12th celebrates the miraculous appearance of the Virgin Mary to the peasant Juan Diego near Mexico City in 1531.  Travel tip: If you come during the winter months, the Old Town Art Walks are every other Weds, from late October to mid-April or later; the IFC home tours are every Weds and Thurs, November to April; in early to mid-November there's the Day of the Dead celebrations, the annual Puerto Vallarta Arts Festival, the Sailfish Tournament, the International Film Festival of the Americas, and the Festival Gourmet; in early December, don't miss the daily celebrations of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Dec 1-12; in March, you can check out the Mexican and Iberoamerican Film Festival, presenting more than 40 films.
