2.  Abbey Hotel -  Gay hotel - South Side
Gay hotel located in the middle of the South Side just a few blocks from the gay beach and on the same street as Kit Kat restaurant and the bar Garbo. Forty-three rooms and twelve suites, and all rooms have private balcony with town or bay view, in-room safe box, air conditioning, telephones and TV. 3.  Villa David  -  Gay Bed and Breakfast  -  Old Town/Downtown
A very charming and beautiful bed and breakfast built in the old-world Mexican hacienda style. Each of the ten bedrooms has cable TV, CD player clock radio, ceiling fans, private bath and maid service, and six bedrooms have balconies. The downstairs bedrooms (without balconies) now have a/c. There is a large open living room with VCR, stereo and cable TV and an open dining room and kitchen area. The courtyard contains a patio garden and a heated swimming pool that is clothing optional, and the rooftop sun deck terrace with its jacuzzi has a nice bay view. This is a spacious and warmly decorated B&B with lots of lovely plants and is a very good value. The host is known for his geniality and helpfulness. Four new rooms were added recently, all with high ceilings; a terrace with full bay view has also added. Located two blocks up from downtown near the cathedral. Full breakfast. Short walk or taxi to the gay bars, restaurants, shopping and beach.  Accepts VISA and MasterCard.

4. Arco Iris  -  Gay Bed and Breakfast  -  Conchas Chinas
Now in a new location the Arco Iris bed and breakfast has three rooms available for your stay, all with private bath, air conditioning and terraces with views of the ocean and mountains. The Papaya Room is two levels higher and has a large sitting area to enjoy the view, in addition to having satellite TV. Accommodations include daily maid service; full Tropical Breakfast Mon through Sat; eight person jacuzzi; free long distance phone service and WiFi broad band internet as well as laptop workstation for internet access. 5.  Hotel Mercurio  -  Gay Hotel  -  South Side
Gay-owned and gay-managed hotel with twenty-eight rooms offering amenities such as refrigerators, cable television, air conditioning, in-room safes, and top quality bedding and towels. Many rooms are available with kitchenette. Located in the middle of the South Side, one and a half blocks to Los Muertos beach and pier, and within a short walking distance of the gay beach, the bars and restaurants.
 

6.  Vallarta Cora  -  Gay Hotel  - South Side
Puerto Vallarta's first exclusively gay hotel with eleven suites, now celebrating their 10th anniversary. Each suite has a bedroom with two double beds/king, one and a half baths, living and dining room area, kitchenette, air conditioning and maid service six days per week. There is a heated pool and popular pool-side bar, La Bola, which features indoor seating area and a large jacuzzi in the backyard patio area. The hotel is located one block from Los Muertos beach and a short walk to the gay bars and the main South Side restaurants and shops. This gay hotel has cultivated its reputation as a party place. 7.  Bugambilia Blanca  -  Gay Owned Apartments  -  South Side
Once a gay B&B known for its attentive service, the owners have now converted the building into one 3-bedroom and two 2-bedroom apartments. The three units have stylish furnishings and all beds have orthopedic mattresses.  Each of the three levels has its own private terrace area with seating. Conveniently located three blocks to the beach and a short walk to the South Side bars, shopping and restaurants. Maid service daily except Sunday and off street parking is available.  Min. seven nights in Jan and Feb. A security deposit required upon arrival, which is refunded on departure.

8. Blue Chairs Beach Resort  - Gay  Hotel - South Side on Los Muertos Beach
Beach front six-story gay hotel with forty rooms and suites equipped with air conditioning, private bath, ceiling fans, telephone, private balconies and cable TV. Some units have small kitchenettes. There is a rooftop bar, dipping pool and sun deck terrace with vistas of the entire bay. Maid service daily. Located directly behind the gay beach at the blue chairs, the resort also has a full service restaurant and bar serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. Accepts VISA and MasterCard.
 

9.  Casa Fantasia  -  Gay-Friendly Bed and Breakfast - South Side
This lovely bed and breakfast, a jewel in the heart of Vallarta's old town, consists of three houses built in the traditional Old World Mexican Hacienda style totaling some 10,000 square feet. Common areas include sunken living rooms, covered terraces and large dining area. A beautiful patio and swimming pool area are also available for your relaxation. The bedrooms and living areas are filled with beautiful antique furnishings and original artwork. One block to Los Muertos beach. An appetizing full breakfast is served daily, as well as hors d'oeurves and champagne at 5pm. Evening turn down bed service and laundry service are also pleasant features of this B&B. Three bedroom B&B run by Boana Torre Malibu and your host Benoit Gagnon. The house is on three levels, with three bedrooms, each with a king size bed and private bath; there's a rooftop terrace with private dipping pool. Price inlcludes daily Continental Breakfast, 8am-noon. Rooms #1 and #2 have a/c available for an additional charge of $10 per day. Casa Benito guests also have full access to the Hotel Boana Torre Malibu which includes the large main pool and sundeck, the reservation office and an agent for all exiting tours available in Vallarta, gay or straight.
